Have a question about building a new home?

How long does building a new home take?

We usually take between 6-9 months to reach full completion, however, it can sometimes take longer depending on the weather, availability of materials and if there are complicated design requests. We use a selected group of tradesmen we trust and, if necessary, will wait until they’re available because we know they’ll deliver the quality we demand.

How soon can you start building my home?

Providing a building permit has been issued, we can generally be on site within 3 weeks of signing the contract.

Do you only service the Mornington Peninsula area?

We’ve built homes for many clients outside of the Mornington Peninsula including suburbs as far stretched as Croydon.

Can you help us design our own plans?

Absolutely. We’ll sit down with you and discuss your needs to create a design that complements your family and lifestyle. We work closely with a handful of innovative and trusted architects experienced in designing beautiful, contemporary living spaces.

Can I use my own home design?

Many clients come to us with plans already drawn up. We’re flexible in the service we offer and working with clients at different stages of the building process.

How do I know if a block of land is suitable for me?

We’re happy to perform an on-site inspection for you at no charge and draw up a cost estimation for your building project so that you can make an informed decision about whether the land is suitable for your budget and design.

Can you organise demolition of an existing property?

We can organise the entire demolition process for you from knockdown to clearing and preparing your land for rebuild, or you can choose to appoint your own demolition contractor.

Do you build dual occupancy and multi-unit developments?

We work with a number of developers and investors building dual-occupancy and multi-unit developments. We deliver high standards at affordable prices to help fuel your investment.

Will my new home be energy efficient?

Sanderson Constructions is committed to designing homes, which incorporate industry best practice for sustainable solutions.

Can I view my home during the build?

We’re more than happy to organise on-site inspections throughout the building process so that you can see the various development stages of your home. We’ll also provide regular updates and, if requested, send you photos showing the progress.

Can I make changes once construction has begun?

Yes, if you want to make changes along the way, we’ll discuss all the options available to you.

How can you guarantee that my home will be built to the best quality?

We only use quality trades and materials to build houses that last, giving you peace of mind that the structure of your house is sound.

How much will my home cost?

We make sure our costs are competitive and affordable. When quoting a project, we take 4 things into consideration:

  1. Size
  2. Complexity of design
  3. Your inclusions (basic, standard, luxury)
  4. The characteristics of your land (fall, orientation etc.)
